Agatha of Sicily, later known as Saint Agatha, is a pillar of strength and faith for women around the world. She has been honored since ancient times, and her name was one of the few women included in the canon of the Mass. Behold her story, her message, and her fearlessness.

_____

Her Story
Saint Agatha had a hard and tumultuous past, and refused to give in to fear or doubt. It all started when she pledged herself to God, wanting to completely immerse herself in her faith. However, the Roman Emperor Decius announced the official order against Christians, and it became illegal for her to practice her faith.

Quintianus, a man who had a high status in society, was relentless in his pursuit of her. After numerous proposals and attempts to posses her, he realized her faith was unbreakable. He then took it upon himself to persecute her for not responding to his advances, and sent her to trial where he was the judge. Agatha was tried, convicted, and sentenced to endure a series of tortuous events.

Agatha never once backed away from the torture, but rather smiled through it. She knew she was going to be okay, and that there were divine beings everywhere that had her back. She eventually prayed to God to let her go to heaven to ease her pain, and she left this Earth with all her faith.

Her Message
Saint Agatha is a powerful leader for women everywhere, especially those with breast cancer and sexual assault survivors. She is a guiding light to remind you that you are not alone in this, and that there are divine forces always working with you, protecting, and healing the hurt caused by sickness or other humans on this Earth.

She is a reminder to never lose faith that you are held, protected, and loved. She is an example of the divine feminine in action — fearless, unstoppable, and unshaken. Her faith was so clear and strong it sent everyone around her into a frenzy. Embrace that fierce faith and unshakable knowing. Her message goes beyond hope, it is deeper — it is knowing that whatever happened or happens will never break your tie with the divine.

Let Saint Agatha guide you deeper in faith and love. Let her hold and love you. Let her remind you of the sanctity of experiencing pain and continuing to have hope, faith, love, and compassion. You are held, you are loved, you are always okay, even when you’re not.
